Bulgaria: choosing a university and programme

CliniGA Education editorial teamSources checked:

Choosing a destination takes more than a university name. The award, teaching language, campus, recognition and your intended career must fit together. Use the country-specific distinctions below to build a shortlist from actual programme pages rather than promotional rankings.

Bulgaria

In Bulgaria, an English university website does not establish an English-taught programme. Sofia University's catalogues need checking by degree and faculty; master's prerequisites and teaching languages differ. Compare research, laboratory and practical components in the curriculum. Ask whether Bulgarian-language preparation is needed and whether your previous subject meets entry requirements. Build the shortlist from programmes you can actually enter, rather than a city or institutional name alone.
