Check eligibility before comparing scholarship amounts. An award may cover tuition, living costs or only a particular mobility period. Admission does not automatically include funding, and a national call may run on a different timetable from university financial support.

DAAD’s scholarship database brings together funding programmes with separate conditions for Germany. Research-visit support and funding for an entire degree are different propositions. A database result does not prove that the relevant round is currently open or that you qualify. Keep tuition, rent and travel in separate budget lines. Count support as confirmed only after a written award decision, and maintain a workable financing plan if your application is unsuccessful.
