Belgium: housing, arrival and student communities

CliniGA Education editorial teamSources checked:

Treat the move after admission as a separate project. Housing contracts, local registration, health coverage and transport can follow different schedules from university applications. Combine the local institutional resources below with practical experience from student communities.

Belgium

Plan Belgian housing around the actual campus, not just the city name: Brussels hosts institutions from different education communities. Flemish and French-speaking official guides provide their own housing, insurance and administrative information. Contact your receiving institution's housing service, confirm the room contract and commute, and keep an address for the first days. Registration for a welcome event or student association does not reserve accommodation.
