Belgium: scholarships and study funding

CliniGA Education editorial teamSources checked: October 27, 2026

Check eligibility before comparing scholarship amounts. An award may cover tuition, living costs or only a particular mobility period. Admission does not automatically include funding, and a national call may run on a different timetable from university financial support.

Belgium

Belgium's Master Mind programme concerns selected master's opportunities in Flemish higher education, not a universal scholarship across the country. Check participating hosts and their nomination procedures. The official page notes that the programme is under review, so do not treat old award amounts or future conditions as settled. For French-speaking Belgium, use its separate grants information and compare tuition support with actual living-cost coverage.

Build your action plan

Check nationality, residence, degree and subject restrictions for each call.
Compare covered expenses, duration and conditions rather than the headline award alone.
Establish whether funding needs a separate application or nomination.
Do not budget an unconfirmed scholarship as income; reserve cash for travel, deposits and early months.
