Netherlands: choosing a university and programme

CliniGA Education editorial teamSources checked:

Choosing a destination takes more than a university name. The award, teaching language, campus, recognition and your intended career must fit together. Use the country-specific distinctions below to build a shortlist from actual programme pages rather than promotional rankings.

Netherlands

Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences have different educational orientations. Nuffic’s Study in NL explains these institution types separately. Go beyond an English programme title: compare the balance of academic research and professional application with the qualification pathway you want to pursue afterwards. Build your shortlist around teaching language, curriculum and campus. Compare the official programme pages before paying application or reservation charges; retain the exact qualification title for later recognition checks.
